The IIG Library has a collection of more than 9200 books in the areas of Geomagnetism, Upper Atmosphere, Solid Earth Geomagnetism, Paleomagnetism, Environmental Geomagnetism, Plasma Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computers, Electronics and instrumentation, and Antarctic Geosciences. Subjects like astronomy, astrophysics, and meteorology also find their place along with present subject interest. You can find and locate all these books on shelves arranged subject-wise with the help of a subject guide fixed on each frame.
 

The library has more than 800 e-books that are available to all centers and observatories 24/7. You can access these books via the library catalog that will take you to the publisher’s site. Kindly note that access is IP-based. For access outside, kindly use the Remote login facility provided to you.

Besides this, there is a good collection of Hindi books (fiction and non-fiction) and Marathi books in the physical format.
